Zurich (awp) – Cicor CEO Alexander Hagemann has a clear strategic vision for the company, and he wants to transform it from a make-to-order manufacturer of electronic components to a contract development and manufacturing organization and a Manufacturing Organization, CDMO. An important first step in this direction has been taken.

Cicor will be a partner that produces products in the field of electronics, based on the ideas of its customers, noted Mr. Hagemann in an interview with Finanz und Wirtschaft. The company will undertake product development at an earlier stage than ever before, he said.

With the recent acquisitions, Cicor has recently doubled its development resources. Over the past two years, significant progress has been made towards the change to a CDMO, which emphasized the company boss who is proud of a clear growth strategy.

In terms of acquisitions, Cicor is specifically looking for candidates in its three target markets of medical technology, industry and the aeronautics and space industry in Europe. If possible, these potential targets must be located in one of the group’s three core markets, Switzerland, Germany and Great Britain, the boss further clarified.

The latter, however, does not include regions such as Scandinavia, France or Italy. As for potential interesting targets, they must generate around 10% to 20% of Cicor’s turnover.
