This initiative, which is now in its third edition, recognizes the fundamental work of accompanying and caring for patients and their families by these entities, which make up a valuable support network to deal with illness or disability.

‘The voice of the patient’ is an initiative that seeks to give visibility and support to patient organizations

‘The voice of the patient’ is one of the various examples of social responsibility of Cinfa (the most present laboratory in Spanish homes). In this case, with the aim of giving visibility and support to Spanish patient associations.

As a novelty this year, Cinfa increases the number of grants granted. Compared to the 50 in 2021, there will be a total of 100 contributions of 2,500 euros each, to promote projects to improve the quality of life of patients or their families, through intervention programs that work on their physical well-being, mental or emotional. Initiatives may be submitted until January 18, 2023 at Lavozdelpaciente.cinfa.com.

The voting period will run from February 22 to March 15. The 100 associations whose projects achieve the most support on the web will receive 2,500 euros each.

Enrique Ordieres, president of Grupo Cinfa, highlights the essence of a solidarity action like this. «For the people of Cinfa, supporting patient associations so closely has meant vital learning that we can only thank. Knowing their work, their life stories, the authentic and generous involvement of the people who are part of them has been a privilege, and we feel that we have to live up to it by supporting them; with resources, of course, but also with visibility and recognition », he explains.

Cinfa, next to the patients

As a socially responsible company, and within its plan to achieve the SDGs, Cinfa carries out various initiatives in line with its mission of working for people’s health. In this way, ‘The voice of the patient’ is added to ‘The gaze of the patient’, a solidarity photographic contest that shows, without filters, the reality of patients. Now, the 2022 edition of the homonymous book has just been published, which, through the beauty of images and words, allows us to put ourselves in their shoes, and which has had the participation of twenty personalities from the fields of communication, the art and culture of our country.

In addition, Cinfa has spent more than ten years promoting ‘Teaming’, a team micro-donation initiative through which the workers and the company have allocated 320,000 euros to more than 90 projects.
