On the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, the 5-day holiday is ending today. From Monday (April 15), government offices, courts, financial institutions including banks and insurance will be opened. People have started returning to the capital with happy memories. Some work, some will join the business. City dwellers have started returning to the capital Dhaka after the Eid holiday to attend work.

On Sunday (April 14), the day of Pahela Baishakh, this was seen when visiting the capital’s Gulistan, Sayedabad and Mohakhali bus terminals.

People who returned to Dhaka said that they had no trouble on the way to and from. On the way to Dhaka, there was no trouble on the road. The city is relatively empty. So people can come to Dhaka to join work with relief. City dwellers will return to the capital throughout the week.

Passengers can be seen returning to Dhaka by road and rail from early today. Kamalapur railway station was crowded with passengers since morning.

Apart from this, many of those who have to do duty during Eid are now running towards their village homes. As there was no traffic jam, the buses returned to the capital on time. However, the passengers have complained about the extra fare. They said that the buses collected extra money by talking about Eid bakshis.

Shakhawat Hossain, an employee of a private organization who returned to Dhaka from Jessore after spending the Eid holiday, said, I returned to Dhaka last night. There was still one day of vacation left. However, I returned earlier because I wanted to celebrate Pahela Boishakh in Dhaka. Besides, the pressure to return to Dhaka will increase from tomorrow. Then there will be traffic jam and suffering. So I thought about everything and left a day ago.

Even after the smooth Eid journey, the passengers complained of extra fare. A passenger coming from Jhenaidah to Dhaka is complaining that at other times the maximum fare is 600 taka as the distance. But 900 to 1000 rupees are being collected from the passengers.
