A 51-year-old woman was injured after being shot by her husband and also a 48-year-old civil police officer, on the morning of last Wednesday (12), in Itapeva, in the interior of São Paulo. She was attended at Santa Casa in the municipality.
According to the SSP-SP (Secretary of Public Security of the State of São Paulo), after the attempted murder, the police officer committed suicide.
“The woman was rescued and taken to Santa Casa. The civil police officer had her death confirmed at the scene”, said the folder.
The case was registered as an attempted murder and suicide on duty at the Itapeva Sectional Police Station.
Also according to the secretariat, a gun and other objects were seized and will be used in the investigations. Examinations were also requested from the IC (Institute of Criminalistics) and the IML (Medical-Legal Institute).
