Baghdad – WAA – Ali Al-Maliki

Ahmed Rahim, Director of the Media Office of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, confirmed that the withdrawal of work from the company implementing the Minaa Stadium came due to the company’s failure to fulfill its promises and its lack of seriousness in completing the work.

Rahim told the (INA) today, Monday: “The Minister of Youth and Sports, Ahmed Al-Mubarqa, made a field visit to the stadium and did not notice any progress in the work, especially in the training stadium, which remained at the same level of completion since his last visit last May.”

Rahim added that “the implementing company was not seriously committed to completing the stadium according to the agreed upon dates, so the minister decided to withdraw the work and refer it to the engineering cadres in the ministry to undertake the completion of the other annexes,” noting that “the minister issued a warning to the company a few days ago to increase the pace of work, but the company did not take any initiative to fulfill its promises, which led to taking this decision to complete the stadium on time.”
