Chennai: The general examination for Class X students in the state syllabus in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry begins on Friday at 3,936 centers.
9 lakh 55,139 students are writing this exam. This includes 7,470 transferees and 242 inmates. In Chennai, 46,932 students will appear for the Class X general examination at 217 centers. The exam will start at 10 am and end at 1.15 pm.
308 Question Paper Control Centers for Class X General Examination are also set up at safe places. Arrangements have been made for 24-hour armed guards at the scene. The first exam for language subjects will be held on Friday. The exam ends on May 30.
