Jaipur: Voting is taking place today in 12 Lok Sabha constituencies of the state for the first phase in Rajasthan. Voting started at 7 am and will continue till 6 pm. People are voting in large numbers in all the 12 Lok Sabha constituencies. In the first two hours i.e. from 7 am to 9 am, 11.10 percent voting took place in Jaipur city while 10.94 percent voting took place in Jaipur rural area. Many public representatives including Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma reached their polling booths early in the morning and voted. Crowds of people have gathered at the polling stations, waiting to cast their votes. On the other hand, the voting process is also going on in Jaipur Rural Lok Sabha seat.
CM voted after seeing Govind Devji
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma reached Jaipur’s revered deity Govind Devji temple early this morning and had darshan. After this he reached his polling station Navodaya Girls Teachers Training College in Siddharth Nagar Colony, Jagatpura where he cast his vote. During this, the CM spoke to the media and said that Bharatiya Janata Party candidates are winning all the 25 seats in the state. He talked about scoring a hat-trick of victory in Rajasthan. He said that Modi government’s slogan of crossing 400 will prove correct.
BJP MLA Bal Mukund Sharma went to the wrong booth
BJP MLA from Hawamahal, Bal Mukund Acharya reached to vote early in the morning. First they reached the wrong polling station. After standing in the queue for a long time, when the turn came to draw the slip, it came to light that his name was at another polling station. After this he reached another polling station and cast his vote.

BJP candidate Manju Sharma and Congress candidate Pratap Singh Khachariyawas from Jaipur city cast their vote at 8 am only. All the public representatives including MLA Gopal Sharma, MP Ramcharan Bohra, MLA Amin Kagzi, Rafiq Khan, Kali Charan Saraf also cast their vote in the morning. Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta and Jaipur District Collector Prakash Rajpurohit also cast their votes. Selfie points have been made at all the polling stations. Along with the public representatives, Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta and District Collector Prakash Rajpurohit also took their selfie at the selfie point. Bollywood singer Ravindra Upadhyay also voted with his family.

Jaipur city seat has the highest number of voters in Rajasthan. The number of voters in Jaipur is 22 lakh 87 thousand 350. A total of 13 candidates are in the fray from Jaipur Lok Sabha seat. 1842 polling stations have been set up in Jaipur. 15 candidates are contesting in Jaipur Rural Lok Sabha constituency. A total of 2008 polling booths have been made in rural areas. The political future of all 114 candidates of the first phase will be decided in EVMs today.
