Coach Justin Langer dismissal – Australian cricket team captain Cummins retaliates

by time news

Justin Langer has resigned as head coach of the Australian cricket team. He resigned after rejecting a 6-month extension.

Former fast bowler Johnson has been critical of Test captain Cummins over Langer’s resignation.

Similarly former captains Taylor, Ricky Ponting and Matthew Hayden have commented in favor of Langer.

Former Captain Clark has backed Cummins to comment on the matter. At this point Cummins broke the silence on the matter. He has retaliated against former players. Cummins said: –

I have no problem with Justin Langer. He himself admits that his training work is serious. Langer also apologized to the players for this. I think apology is unnecessary.

We have no problem with his attitude. The Cricket Board took a bold decision in this matter. Our first duty is to serve Australian cricket. I (ex-players) fight for your teammates just as you fight for your teammates.

Thus he said.
