National level Aeroskatobar Skating Competition was held at Thane, Maharashtra on behalf of Aeroskatobar Ball Federation of India. 300 contestants from 15 states including Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh participated.
On behalf of Tamil Nadu, a total of 74 people including 57 male students and 17 female students from various districts including Coimbatore, Trichy, Dindigul, Kallakurichi, Madurai, Dharmapuri participated. The competition was held in categories of 10, 12, 14, 18 years.
Ashwin, a student from Kuniyamuthur area of Coimbatore, participated in the under 18 category. He performed well in all the competitions and won gold in the finals. With this, the student Ashwin has qualified to participate in the Asian level tournament.
It is also noteworthy that Tamil Nadu team won gold in total 6 categories and won the overall championship trophy in this competition.
