DEBRIEFING – “We come out of this film full of energy, brotherhood, hope. It feels good in these times”commented spectators after seeing “Like a wolf”, the first feature film by journalist and documentarian Caroline Glorion. After being a victim of domestic violence, Lily, a young mother of three children, finds herself placed in a shelter. On the advice of a social worker, magnificently played by Sandrine Bonnaire, the juvenile judge decides to place the little ones. The film tells the story of Lily’s fight to regain custody of her children, and the chain of solidarity that forms to help the young woman, played by Mathilde la Musse, dazzling in her naturalness and strength.

“I want people to let themselves be moved by valor, courage, fantasy, this desire for freedom deep down, this desire for love to be able to live with one’s children” of Lily, Caroline Glorion explains to us.

Successful bet. Despite a subject at first glance “difficile”, the director offers us a gripping and hopeful film. Beautiful, like its characters.

We must highlight the fantastic cast. Leading roles or supporting roles, all the actors are remarkable, even the children, who are just astounding. They show us moving characters of truth, where humanity is explored in depth.

You have to go see this film because it is necessary. You have to go see this film because it’s good and you can’t see the session going by. We must go see this film out of solidarity. So that the trials experienced by those affected by deprivation are not added to the primary cause of indifference: invisibility. You have to go see this film for love.
