In January-May of this year, on the website booking.com, which is an online booking system for hotels of all star categories, the average price of an overnight stay in hotels in Azerbaijan was lower compared to hotels in Georgia, Armenia and Istanbul.
As Day.Az reports with reference to the report of the State Tourism Agency, in January it amounted to 87.5 manats, in February – 102.6 manats, in March – 133.3 manats, in April – 131.67 manats. And as of May of this year it is 131.75 manats.
This figure increased by 7.3%, 29.3%, 43.3% and 37.7%, respectively, compared to the same months in 2023. The figure for May last year is not known.
In Istanbul, the average price in hotels in all star categories in January was 159.5 manats (-2.8%), in February – 130.6 manats (+14.5%), in March – 138.2 manats (-15 .7%), in April – 180.8 manats (+ 0.5%) and in May – 193.2 manats (the figure for May of last year is not known).
The average price in hotels in Georgia was 159 manats (+34.7%), 126 manats (+21.5%), 111 manats (-0.1%), 141 manats (-9.2%) and 132.2 manats (the figure for May of last year is not known) accordingly.
In Armenia, the same data for January amounted to 106.6 (-15.2%), February – 97.2 (- 7.2%), March – 102.5 (- 7.8%), April – 112 (- 29.4%) and May – 140 manats (the figure for May of last year is not known).
