Compulsory green pass at work from 15 October: the vademecum

by time news

For offenders, unjustified absence and freezing of salary

Ansa / CorriereTv

From 15 October it is mandatory to have the green pass to be able to work in both the public and private sectors. The obligation remains, for the moment, until 31 December: in both sectors, the checks are up to the employer. Those without the pass risk a sanction from 600 to 1,500 euros, while for employers it can range from 400 to one thousand euros.
PRIVATE WORK: For those who are not in possession of the certificate, there is unjustified absence and a freeze on salary. Only companies with fewer than 15 employees can suspend workers and replace them for 10 days, renewable only once.
PUBLIC WORK: All public administration personnel, even those who carry out training or volunteering activities, must show the green pass. Checks must be daily and preferably on access to the office, on a random basis (at least 20% of the staff) or on a carpet. The government will provide an online platform for automated verification, but the VerificationC19 app can also be used. In public work there is no possibility of suspension: the employee has no disciplinary consequences and keeps the job.
MAGISTRATES: The pass is mandatory to access courts and judicial offices also for magistrates: disciplinary offenses are triggered for offenders. Lawyers and other defendants, consultants, experts, witnesses and parties to the trial are excluded from the obligation.
