Congress MP wife not joining BJP?; Question to Amarinder, Answer… – Amarinder SIngh | Manorama Online

by time news

New Delhi: When Amarinder Singh joined the BJP with the party formed when he left the Congress a year ago, the question arose as to why his wife Praneet Kaur did not join. Congress MP Praneet Amarinder did not follow him even when he left the party. When asked about this, Amarinder’s reply was as follows – “Whatever the husband does, there is no need for the wife to follow it.”

Praneet Kaur was the Minister of State for External Affairs in the Manmohan Singh government during 2009-2014. Currently MP from Patiala. The Congress has not asked them to resign nor have they expressed their willingness to resign. A senior BJP leader was quoted by the national media as saying that if she resigns, AAP will take that seat too.

Meanwhile, Margaret Alva, who was the opposition’s presidential candidate, tweeted that Praneet Kaur is smarter than the captain. Along with Amarinder, his son Raninder Singh, daughter Jai Inder Kaur and grandson Nirwan Singh also joined the BJP.
