A night of celebration and memories was experienced at the Mexico City Arena, where the opera-pop quartet Il Divo celebrated its 20-year career.

The recital began with “Regresa a mi” and although they look different from that group that achieved success with this song, Urs Bühler, Sébastien Izambard, David Miller and Steven LaBrie, once again conquered the Mexican public with their XX tour.

“Crazy,” part of their new album, followed, a cover of that 80s song, to continue with “Melodía unleashada” and “Today I want you.”

After Sébastien joked about his lack of Spanish, came the performance of “Perfect”, a cover by Ed Sheeran.

With their unique touch, they gave a new stamp to “Despacito,” a song by Luis Fonsi, which for moments caused the screams of their followers.

They continued the songs from their most recent XX production with “Talking to the moon” and “Despertar sin ti”, their first original composition.

The time for the classics arrived and “Isabel”, “Perhaps”, “Bésame Mucho”, “Hasta mi final”, “Adagio” and “Caruso” were heard.

In the final stretch they performed “My Way” by Frank Sinatra and “I Have Nothing.”

After an emotional farewell in which they evoked Carlos Marín, a member who died in 2021 due to covid, they stated that it has been an incredible journey and asked attendees to support them for 20 more years.

The finishing touch was “Time to say goodbye” and the promise of meeting the Mexican public again soon.
