Berry’s victory, secured Wednesday evening, sets the stage for a 23-driver field to compete in the 200-lap main event.

Berry’s Command Performance

Berry demonstrated exceptional control throughout the 75-lap heat, starting from the pole position and leading an impressive 64 laps. His performance underscored his ability to maintain pace and navigate the track effectively. He ultimately crossed the finish line ahead of Austin Cindric, securing his place in the Clash.

Cindric’s path to qualification proved more challenging, requiring a hard-fought battle for the second transfer spot. The driver engaged in a captivating side-by-side contest with Corey LaJoie and AJ Allmendinger in the closing laps, highlighting the competitive spirit of the event.

“That was about as fair as I think it could have gotten for an LCQ,” Cindric stated. “I appreciate Corey for racing hard and, obviously, we advanced in. Long road ahead starting last with some scuffs for the final here.”
