This man – his identity was not disclosed to preserve his family – had traveled to Peru to try his luck in a job as a bricklayer, since he did not have a job here. After four months he decided to return.

Upon arriving in Argentina, the test was negative. But at 7 days, the control swab detected that he was infected. There it was learned that I had breached the isolation, which ended up causing a chain reaction.

Along with four other people, he was charged with the crimes of “violation of sanitary norms” and “spread of a contagious disease”, established in articles 202 and 205 of the Penal Code. The penalties contemplated for these cases are between 3 and 15 years in prison.

Although the prosecutor Andrés Godoy, from the Fiscal Unit of Sanitary Emergency (UFES), benefited with the release, they warned from the Justice that he would continue to be investigated and that he would be called for an investigation. However, his sad end closed the case.
