Corona 5th wave is spreading in Peru

The 5th wave of the Corona pandemic is spreading in the South American country of Peru. There has been an increase in the number of infections there for the past 3 weeks.

Between last Tuesday and Wednesday alone, 6 thousand 541 people were newly infected. As of last Wednesday, the total number of infected people there is 42 lakh 52 thousand 383. 2 lakh 17 thousand 414 people have died there due to infection.

Omicron’s PA.5 type has the highest impact in wave 5 in Peru.
