The incident, in which a female passenger on the plane was isolated for 3 hours in the toilet of the plane, caused a stir as it was confirmed that she was infected with corona in the middle.
Marissa Fotio, a woman from Michigan, and her family are on a flight from Chicago to Iceland on an Icelandair flight from the United States to Switzerland. They had planned to go to Iceland and from there to Switzerland by another connecting flight.
An hour and a half after the plane took off, Marisa was photographed flying over the Atlantic Ocean with a sore throat. The suspect took the Rapid Corona test kit, which he had taken with him, and immediately knew the corona result.
Although he was shocked by this, he told the flight attendant that he had become corona positive and asked if there were any seats left alone, with the intention of isolating himself in the interest of fellow passengers. But on that day all the seats were completely filled with passengers, the flight attendant told him.
However, in the interest of other passengers, Marisa thought it would be okay if there was no place to sit, and spent the next 3 hours traveling in isolation in the bathroom.
At the same time Marisa underwent 2 PCR tests and 5 Rapid tests before embarking on this flight and was found to have Covit negative. However, Marisa is tense because her corona became positive during the flight.
Marisa is working as a teacher. He is thus frequently tested because he is a teacher to students who have not been vaccinated. And at one point Marisa, who was scared, could not suppress her tears.
After the flight reached Iceland, Marisa’s family was the last to disembark. While testing them there, Marisa’s father and brother came back negative and they both flew to Switzerland on a connecting flight.
Marisa is currently staying in a hotel for 10 days in isolation. As the flight attendant said about the incident, it is kind of a crisis that something like this is happening. That said it is commonplace in our work though.
