The LOA (Annual Budget Law) project to define the use of Campo Grande City Hall’s revenue, estimated at R$ 6.4 billion, will be discussed at a public hearing at the City Council, on Monday (11). Councilors received the text from Mayor Adriane Lopes (PP) just over a week ago and will open the debate to the population.

The hearing begins at 9am in the Oliva Enciso plenary and will be broadcast on the Casa de Leis’ social media. The city hall will have a budget 17.2% higher than the previous year, which was R$5.4 billion.

The debate will be promoted by the Permanent Committee on Finance, Budget and Inspection of the House, chaired by councilor Roberto Santana, “Betinho” (Republicans). Also members of the commission are parliamentarians Epaminondas Vicente Silva Neto, “Papy” (Solidarity), Luiza Ribeiro (PT), Ronilço Cruz, “Guerreiro” and Ademir Santana (PSDB).

Councilors have until the end of the year to vote on approval of the text of the LOA, containing its amendments. The budget proposals must be in accordance with what is established in the PPA (Multi-Year Plan) and the LDO (Budget Guidelines Law), which was already approved by the City Council in the first semester.
