A partial committee of seven members of the Dhaka University (DU) branch of the Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal has been formed. Ganesh Chandra Roy Sahas has been nominated as President of DU Chhatra Dal and Nahiduzzaman Shipon has been nominated as General Secretary.
This information was informed in the circular signed by Rahul Kabir Rizvi, Senior Joint Secretary General of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on Friday (March 1).
Other positions on the committee include—Masoom Billah, senior vice-president; Anisur Rahman Khandaker Anik, Vice President; Nashir Uddin Shaon, Senior Joint General Secretary, Shamim Akhter Shubo, Joint General Secretary; and Noor Alam Bhuiya Iman Organizing Secretary.
The president of the newly formed committee, Ganesh Chandra Roy Sahas, is a student of the 2010-11 session of the International Relations Department of Dhaka University. He is the joint general secretary number 1 of the newly ex-committee. Besides, he is serving as the current committee president of Jagannath Hall Chhatra Dal.
Nahiduzzaman Shipon is a student of 2011-12 session of Institute of Education and Research (IER), Dhaka University. He is the joint general secretary of the newly ex-committee.
It should be noted that earlier the Dhaka University Committee of Chhatra Dal was announced on September 11, 2022. Then the president was Khorshed Alam Sohail and the general secretary was Ariful Islam.
