The comedy program made parodies alluding to the singer, but the judicial action did not have enough support to continue.
The national artist Pablo Herreraa week ago, filed a complaint for serious injuries against the Mega program, The Antidote. However, the Eighth Guarantee Court of Santiago confirmed that this was declared as inadmissible.
The legal action arose from two sketches in which participants of the television show played characters like Pablo Horrores and Pablo Herrereitor.
For this reason, the lawsuit was directed to the animator of the space, Fabrizio Copano, and the comedians María José Quiroz and Kurt Carrerawho starred in the parodies.
In relation to this, the interpreter assured in his complaint that the performances were “malicious, intended to damage my image and my career as a singer, which damage my honor and they put me in a terrible position in front of Megavisión viewers.”
The reasons why Pablo Herrera’s complaint against El Antidoto was not admissible
From the court they explained what happened with Pablo Herrera’s complaint: “It is not possible to appreciate the actions of the defendants intentional conduct aimed at discredit and dishonor against the complainant.”
Along the same lines, it was detailed that “these facts do not constitute crimes, since they are manifestations of expression exposed in the context of a humorous television program, in which situations that may be absurd are exposed, sarcastic or crazy, but aimed at producing laughter or making people laugh.”
On the other hand, regarding the complaint for the crime against Intellectual Property Law, the artist will have to “present a complaint that contains the legal requirements for the facts that you intend to report as a crime of public criminal action.”
Finally, the judicial process that Pablo Herrera initiated against some members of El Antidoto remained in its first instance, and is considered completed.
