The report also noted that the Court of Auditors published, on March 16, 2023, in accordance with constitutional provisions, a report on the audit of the annual accounts of political parties for the year 2021 and three reports on the examination of expenses of electoral campaigns of political parties, trade union organizations and candidates for the 2021 polls for the election of members of the two Chambers of Parliament and the Councils of local authorities (June 8, 2023).

Concerning the use of the additional annual support granted to political parties to cover their expenses linked to missions, studies and research for the year 2022, an amount of 20.10 MDH was granted to seven parties, continues the same source.

Furthermore, due to the short period between the date of granting this support (between September and November 2022) and the deadline for submitting employment accounts (end of December 2022), it was not possible for beneficiary parties to respect this legal deadline, especially since the employment accounts for this support were filed with the Court during the period between March and August 2023.

The report further notes that two parties returned to the Treasury the total amount of support they received due to its non-use (2.76 million dirhams).

Also, the examination of the expenditure for the use of this additional support by the Court, taking into account the responses of the beneficiary parties to the observations relating to the justification of its use, revealed several inadequacies and difficulties in connection with the application of the regulatory texts. the ruler.

In this context, the Court informed the Head of Government and the Ministry of the Interior with the aim of finding the tools to improve its management and use so as to guarantee consistency with the purposes for which it was granted. .

And to underline that the Court will proceed, in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution and the code of financial jurisdictions, to the publication of the report on the examination of the employment expenses of this support after its approval by the competent body within the Court .
