Scientific journalist and writer, Xavier Bazin discusses with us the replacement of the late Scientific Council, in a new orientation council with still unknown contours. From there, he explains how independence and impartiality are essential for our institutions, and also takes the time to come back to health crisis management.

In this debriefing, he draws on new scientific data to shed new light on French health policy. In doing so, he deplores the fact that the Scientific Council 2.0, which does not say its name, is now led by Brigitte Autran, who seems steeped in conflicts of interest and repelled by nuance.
