LAZIO – There are 577 coronavirus infections in Lazio today, May 16, according to data from the region’s bulletin. Since yesterday, another 14 deaths have been recorded. In Rome, 322 cases reported.
” Today out of over 11,000 swabs in Lazio (-2,951) and over 12,000 antigenic for a total of 23,687 tests, 577 new positive cases are recorded (-44), the slowdown continues: the number of positive cases is the lowest since 7 months. 14 deaths (+9) total, but there are 0 deaths in the provinces. 1,003 healed, a reduction in the number of hospitalized patients equal to 1,548 (-43). Intensive therapies are 236 (+3). Overall, cases and hospitalizations are decreasing. Intensive care and deaths are increasing. The ratio between positives and tampons is 5.1%, but if we also consider the antigenic ones the percentage drops to 2.4% ”, says the councilor for Health and Social-Health Integration of the Lazio Region, Alessio D’Amato. “There are 322 cases in Rome city. SARDINIA – There are 33 coronavirus infections in Sardinia today, May 16, according to data from the region’s bulletin. Since yesterday, no deaths. ” A total of 56,132 cases of Covid-19 positivity have been ascertained in Sardinia since the beginning of the emergency. In the latest update of the Regional Crisis Unit, 33 new cases were detected. In total, 1,244,081 swabs were performed, for an overall increase of 1,478 tests compared to the previous figure ”, the Region announced.
” There are no new deaths (1,433 in all). On the other hand, 212 (-6) people are currently hospitalized in non-intensive wards, while 39 (+1) patients remain in intensive care. EMILIA ROMAGNA – There are 452 new coronavirus infections in Emilia Romagna according to data from today’s bulletin, May 16. Since yesterday there have been 7 deaths. In the last 24 hours, 14,163 swabs were processed, the positivity index is 3.1%. The contagion situation in the provinces sees Bologna with 92 new cases and Modena (88); then Parma (69) and Reggio Emilia (50), then Rimini (46), Ravenna (23) and Ferrara (21). Followed by Forlì (19), Cesena (19) and Piacenza (19) and finally the Imolese district (6).
As for the total number of people healed, they are 1,730 more than yesterday and reach 343,060. The active cases, that is the actual patients, to date are 23,429 (-1,285 compared to yesterday). Of these, people in isolation at home, i.e. those with mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment or are symptom-free, are a total of 22,230 (-1,267), 94.8% of the total number of active cases. In total, there have been 13,088 deaths in the region since the beginning of the epidemic. There are 157 patients admitted to intensive care (-3 compared to yesterday), 1,042 those in the other Covid departments (-15). In the area, patients admitted to intensive care are distributed as follows: 7 in Piacenza (unchanged compared to yesterday), 14 in Parma (-2), 20 in Reggio Emilia (-1), 23 in Modena (unchanged), 48 in Bologna (+1), 7 in Imola (+1), 13 in Ferrara (unchanged), 8 in Ravenna (unchanged), 4 in Forlì (-1), 3 in Cesena (-1) and 10 in Rimini (unchanged).
BASILICATA – There are 93 coronavirus infections in Basilicata today, May 16, according to data from the region’s bulletin. The new cases (89 are resident) were registered on a total of 1,185 molecular swabs, and 2 deaths were recorded. Since yesterday, another 2 deaths have been reported. This was announced by the regional task force with the usual daily bulletin. The deceased people resided in Pietragalla and Potenza. There are 190 Lucanians healed or negated.
Updating the overall data, the currently positive Lucanians are 4,969 (-103), of which 4,853 in home isolation. 19,525 people residing in Basilicata recovered from the beginning of the health emergency and 543 died.
There are 116 (-3) patients admitted to Lucanian hospitals: at San Carlo di Potenza 31 in the infectious disease ward, 33 in pulmonology, 4 in emergency medicine, 5 in Covid internal medicine, 4 in intensive care; at the Madonna delle Grazie hospital in Matera 23 in the infectious disease ward, 11 in pulmonology, 0 in Covid internal medicine and 5 in intensive care. The number of beds occupied in intensive care has remained unchanged, 9. Since the beginning of the health emergency, 343,608 molecular swabs have been analyzed, of which 315,367 were negative, and 197,459 people were tested.
MARCHE – There are 215 coronavirus infections in the Marche today, May 16, according to data from the region’s bulletin. The Marche Health Service has communicated that 3501 swabs have been tested in the last 24 hours: 1852 in the new diagnosis path (of which 338 in the screening with Antigenic pathway) and 1649 in the healed path (with a positive / tested ratio equal to 11, 6%).
There are 215 positives in the new diagnosis process (40 in the province of Macerata, 41 in the province of Ancona, 76 in the province of Pesaro-Urbino, 6 in the province of Fermo, 42 in the province of Ascoli Piceno and 10 outside the region).
These cases include symptomatic subjects (39 cases detected), contacts in the home setting (51 cases detected), close contacts of positive cases (81 cases detected), contacts in the work setting (1 case detected), contacts with the involvement of students of all grades training (12 detected cases), health care pathway screening (1 detected case). For another 30 cases, epidemiological investigations are still being carried out. In the Antigen Screening Path, 338 tests were carried out and 10 positive cases were found (to be subjected to the molecular swab). The positive / tested ratio is 3%.
TUSCANY – There are 506 coronavirus infections in Tuscany today, May 16, according to data from the region’s bulletin anticipated by governor Eugenio Giani. “The new cases registered in Tuscany are 506 out of 20,113 tests of which 12,561 molecular swabs and 7,552 rapid tests. The rate of new positives is 2.52% (6.2% on the first diagnoses)”, writes Giani on social media, adding that the vaccines currently administered are 1,662,693.
“Tuscany is the third region in Italy for the use of monoclonal antibodies in the treatment of Covid patients. Soon those produced in Tuscany by Prof. Rino Rappuoli will also be ready, one more weapon to defeat Covid with a drug”, writes Giani .
APULIA – There are 404 new coronavirus infections in Puglia according to data from the bulletin today, May 16. There are another 8 deaths. 6,895 swabs have been tried since yesterday. The new cases are distributed throughout the territory: 95 in the province of Bari, 38 in the province of Brindisi, 41 in the province of Bat, 74 in the province of Foggia, 131 in the province of Lecce, 23 in the province of Taranto, 1 case of resident outside the region , 1 case of unknown province of residence. Yesterday there were 567 new cases out of 9,984 tests. 201,369 patients recovered (+414 since yesterday). Currently positive cases are 38,718 (-18). The hospitalized patients are 1,251 (-9).
The total of positive Covid cases in Puglia since the beginning of the emergency is 246,349 divided as follows: 93,451 in the province of Bari; 24,582 in the province of Bat; 18,733 in the province of Brindisi; 44,194 in the province of Foggia; 25,649 in the province of Lecce; 38,576 in the province of Taranto; 787 attributed to residents outside the region; 377 province of residence not known.
FRIULI VENEZIA GIULIA – There are 33 new coronavirus infections in Friuli Venezia Giulia according to data from today’s bulletin, May 16. There have been no deaths in the past 24 hours. Since yesterday, 2,250 molecular swabs have been processed, 29 new infections have been detected with a positive percentage of 1.28%. There are also 1,185 rapid antigenic tests carried out, from which 4 cases (0.33%) were detected. The admissions to intensive care units are stable and equal to 16 while those in other departments are decreasing, which are 72.
The deaths totaled 3,768, with the following territorial subdivision: 806 in Trieste, 1,999 in Udine, 672 in Pordenone and 291 in Gorizia. The totally healed are 91,389, the clinically healed 5,624, while those in isolation today drop to 5,636. Since the beginning of the pandemic in Friuli Venezia Giulia, a total of 106,505 people have been positive with the following territorial division: 21,055 in Trieste, 50,514 in Udine, 20,803 in Pordenone, 12,943 in Gorizia and 1,190 from outside the region.
