Riyadh ∙ The Saudi Ministry of Health calls on citizens and residents of all ages to complete the reactivation dose of immunization to prevent the spread of Covid-19. A reactivation dose i.e. a second booster dose should be taken two months or more after the previous dose. Those aged 12 years and above will receive an updated dose of the Covid vaccine, the ministry said. Appointment for this should be taken through ‘My Health’ application. Those who received the first booster dose of the vaccine now have an appointment for a second booster dose two months later.
The elderly, immunocompromised, those with chronic diseases, those at high risk, workers in work situations that increase the risk of infection or virus spread, and those who received a previous vaccine dose within two months should receive a reactivation dose.
The Ministry of Health informed that this vaccine dose contains important updates against the new variant of Corona Virus (Covid-19). It will provide better protection against health problems resulting from infection.
