Russian troops are trying to capture the Ukrainian capital, Kiev. Ordinary people have now joined the army to confront the Russian army. Civilians also take up arms and stand on the battlefield. Former Miss Grant Ukraine and beauty queen Anastasia Lena have reportedly joined the fight against the Russian occupation.
Anastasia Lena shared a picture of herself holding a gun with the Ukrainian army on her Instagram account. Anastasia Lena represented Ukraine at the 2015 Miss Grand International pageant.
“Everyone who crosses the border into Ukraine with the intention of attacking will be killed!” Anastasia said in an Instagram post. She described Ukrainian President Volodymyr Selensky as a “real and powerful leader.” Millions of people around the world have come out in support of them.
