Cuautitlán Feminicide: Suspect Arrested in Acapulco – La Jornada

Mexico. Agents who make up the Security Cabinet arrested Eric Antonio “N”, identified as the perpetrator of the double feminicide of his ex-partner and his mother-in-law that occurred on January 12, in the municipality of Cuautitlán, state of Mexico.

As part of the follow-up to the investigations related to these events, elements of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), Attorney General of the Republic (FGR), together with the Secretariat of National Defense (Defense), Secretariat of the Navy (Semar) and National Guard (GN), in coordination with the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) and the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Guerrero (FGE), carried out field work.

In coordination with local authorities, they identified an address in the municipality of Acapulco, Guerrero, where Eric Antonio “N” was hiding, with the support of another individual.

With the information obtained, a security device was carried out coordinated with the state prosecutor’s offices, through which Eric Antonio “N” was arrested, who has a current arrest warrant. Alejandro “N” was also arrested, who helped him hide and has an arrest warrant for the crime of sexual abuse against a minor, corresponding to events that occurred in 2022, in Cuautitlán, state of Mexico.

Both detainees were informed of their legal rights and transferred to the state of Mexico where they were placed before the corresponding Public Ministry agent, who would determine their legal situation.
