This week a fire broke out in the Diez de Octubre municipality of Havana that affected four homes in a citadel.

The information was announced by the first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) in that municipality, Lisara Corona, through the social network X (formerly Twitter).

In that sense, it emerged that, in this fire, no loss of life or injuries were reported.

“Internal security forces, teams from the Fire Department and the highest authorities of the town moved quickly to the place,” the statement added.

After the publication, some Internet users considered it “strange” that the first secretary of the PCC in Diez de Octubre reported about this fire in that town.

Likewise, other users assured that the firefighters took a while to arrive, while others wondered if they had water to put out the flames, taking into account the serious crisis with the vital liquid that is being recorded on the island.

“Tremendous scare for the garden colleagues and the children. And did the firefighters have water? (…) Most importantly, there was no loss of human life”were some of the comments from Internet users on social networks about this fact.

Until the time of writing this note, the Castro authorities have not detailed the material damage caused by this fire, nor the consequences that this event left for the affected families, taking into account the housing deficit that exists in the country and that the dictatorship refuses to resolve.
