The House of Ecuadorian Culture, in the emblematic Sultana de los Andes, presents a vibrant agenda for the week of April 1 to 7, 2024. With a diversity of events, from concerts to art workshops, the institution offers options for everyone culture lovers.
On Friday, April 5, at 7:00 p.m., the CCECH will host two simultaneous events that promise an evening full of art and emotion. At the Franklin Cárdenas Theater, tribute will be paid to the talented artist Pepe Quevedo, in an event titled “My first 50 years,” where classic pantomime, theater, music and poetry will merge. The suggested collaboration is $5 dollars to enjoy this unique experience.
At the same time, at the Alfonso Chávez Jara Theater, the III Riobamba Festival, Tradition and Culture will take place, an event that promises to delight attendees with the richness of traditional dance and music. Groups such as Inti Huayra, Llaktaymanta, Mariano Vimos, Etnia Chuquirahua and Ballet San Pedro will show their talent, accompanied by the music of the group Mestizaje. On Saturday, March 6, the Shuyuna artistic collective invites the public to the “Zaguán de las Artes”, a space where a drawing workshop open to all ages will be held, with a suggested contribution of $3 dollars to contribute to the cultural development of the city. Additionally, at 7:30 p.m. at the Alfonso Chávez Jara theater, the renowned Ecuadorian comedian Ave Jaramillo will present a stand-up show that promises laughter and entertainment for everyone present.
