The Tour de France will discover a new candidate for the podium during the 2024 edition: Remco Evenepoel. After two participations in the Tour of Italy and the Tour of Spain, the Belgian officially announced that he was going to discover the Grande Boucle, and rub shoulders, in particular, with Jonas Vingegaard, Tadej Pogacar and Primoz Roglic. The opportunity to test yourself against the leaders of the peloton in the most demanding race in the world.

During the presentation of the Soudal-Quick Step training season, which took place this Tuesday, the entire program of the time trial world champion was revealed. He will begin his season in Portugal, at the Figueira Champions Classic, before competing in the Tour of the Algarve. He will then take part in his first event on French soil at Paris-Nice, from March 3 to 10. A single monument is also on its program: Liège-Bastogne-Liège. The Belgian is a double title holder.

After the Critérium du Dauphiné and the Tour de France, Remco Evenepoel will also compete in the Olympic Games and the World Championships, each time in the road race and in the time trial. A fairly dense program for the former world champion, who has clearly identified four major objectives: a third crown in Liège-Bastogne-Liège, the Tour de France, the Olympics and the Worlds.

Julian Alaphilippe’s season has also been drawn. The double world champion will start at the Tour Down Under, in Australia, before focusing on the classics, namely the Nieuwsblad, the Strade Bianche, Milan-Sanremo and the Tour of Flanders. The rest of his season is still up in the air.
