Republican Party candidate Donald Trump and Democratic Party US President Joe Biden had already agreed on the time of the debate, but the latter withdrew from the election contest, paving the way for Vice President Kamala Harris.
After that, Trump offered to meet the next day in the studio of another broadcaster.
At a press conference at his Mar-a-Lago mansion in Florida, Trump expressed his desire to hold three debates with Harris before the November presidential election, adding that his team had already arranged a debate on September 4 with two TV channels and another on the 25th.
At an election campaign event in Michigan, Harris expressed her satisfaction that Trump had finally agreed to a debate on September 10, and hinted that she would be happy to discuss the next debate after that date.
Trump also mentioned plans to hold a debate between the vice presidential candidates, his pick JD Vance and the one proposed by Harris, Tim Walz, but did not specify a date.
Elections in the US will take place on November 5.
