Instrumental Pioneers TOE Announce 25th Anniversary Celebrations with New Live Series and European Tour

A highly anticipated live series and extensive European tour will mark the 25th anniversary of the acclaimed instrumental band, TOE. The group has announced “What Changes and What Stays the Same, Volume 12,” their first self-planned live event in over two and a half years, scheduled for March 25, 2026, at Spotify O-EAST in Tokyo.

A Quarter Century of Innovation

2025 marks a significant milestone for TOE, celebrating a quarter-century since its formation. The band has garnered substantial recognition both within Japan and internationally, fueled by a recent Asian tour, a sold-out solo performance at the iconic Ryogoku Kokugikan, and a captivating appearance on the popular music platform, THE FIRST TAKE. This momentum continues with the announcement of the “LONELINESS WILL SHINE” – 25TH ANNIVERSARY LIVE – tour, encompassing eight performances across the UK and Europe beginning in April 2026.

“What Changes and What Stays the Same” Returns

The independent project, “Things That Change and Things That Stay the Same,” is a recurring live series for TOE, designed to foster a unique atmosphere where guest artists from diverse genres can share their artistic vision. According to a company release, the last iteration of the series was held in October 2022 as a solo performance. This upcoming event represents a return to the series’ collaborative spirit.

This edition will feature a special guest performance by Daichi Yamamoto, a rising MC gaining traction across multiple demographics. “We hope you will witness the encounter between two groups from different genres and generations,” a statement from the band indicated.
