jpnn.comJAKARTA – Dana Indonesiana is an encouragement for the organizers of the Purbalingga Film Festival to stimulate the creativity of local filmmakers. Indonesiana’s disbursement of funds amounting to IDR 2.5 billion per year is managed as well as possible.

Director of the Purbalingga Film Festival, Nangki Nirmanto, said that he will start receiving Indonesian funds in 2022. They are included in the selection committee assessment category.

“So, a Selection Committee was immediately appointed, instead of us submitting or registering,” he said in his statement to the media, quoted on Saturday (9/3).

Nangki added that the disbursement of the Indonesiana Fund was an appreciation or appreciation for their consistency, especially in regularly holding the Purbalingga Film Festival since 2007.

According to him, the Dana Indonesiana program money they received was included in the institutional strengthening category. “We are very happy with this funding,” he said.

With that budget, they run a series of festivals with various activities of increasing quality, including film making by filmmakers from Purbalingga and surrounding areas. The filmmakers are students from middle and high school levels.

Nangki said that every year, the Purbalingga Film Festival activities can produce up to 20-30 films from local filmmakers.

A team was specifically formed to assist in making the film. Starting from exploring ideas, production, to post-production.

Dana Indonesiana has been proven to spur the creativity of local filmmakers in producing works of art.
