Dave Grohl, the fifty-five-year-old frontman of the Foo Fighters, has become a father for the fourth time. His new daughter was born from an extramarital relationship. He revealed this himself with a post on Instagram: «I have recently become a father to a baby girl, born outside of my marriage. I intend to be a loving and present parent for her». Then he expressed words of love for his wife, Jordyn Blum, and their three daughters: «I love my wife and my daughters, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness». Dave Grohl concluded his social message by appealing for respect and discretion from his followers: «We are grateful for your consideration towards all the children involved as we move forward together». The identity of the mother of the newborn is not known. The singer-songwriter, former drummer of Nirvana (he founded the Foo Fighters in 1994, shortly after the death of Kurt Cobain), did not share any further details. In fact, at one point, he disabled comments on the post. His staff clarified that no additional information regarding the situation will be released.

This is not the first time Dave Grohl has publicly revealed his infidelities. When his first marriage to photographer Jennifer Leigh Youngblood ended after three years in 1997, the singer admitted that his infidelity had contributed to the divorce. Then came his current wife Jordyn Blum, a former model turned television and film producer. The two met at a venue, the Sunset Marquis Whiskey Bar in West Hollywood, California, in 2001. He was immediately smitten, so much so that at the end of the evening, as he revealed to GQ in 2007, he told her: «You are my future ex-wife». After a brief courtship, however, Dave pulled back because «I didn’t want a serious relationship». He lasted only three months before returning to seek Jordyn again. The two became husband and wife in 2003 with a private ceremony at their home in Los Angeles. They then welcomed three daughters: the eighteen-year-old singer Violet Grohl, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 11.
Until today, there had been no rumors disturbing the marriage between the musician and his second wife. Grohl and Blum, who had only two months ago appeared together at Wimbledon all smiles, were considered one of the most united couples in the entertainment world.
