Düsseldorf The Dax started the trading week in the red, but made up for the losses in the first hour of trading and was last listed almost unchanged at 15,958 points.
On Friday, the leading German index, driven by the better mood on Wall Street, closed with a slight plus of 0.4 percent at 15,952 points.
At the beginning of the new week, investors look at company figures: Siemens Energy, Deutsche Börse and Aurubis, for example, presented figures before the start of trading.
The Federal Statistical Office also published new data on German industrial production before the start of trading. Accordingly, German companies reduced their production in June surprisingly strongly: industry, construction and energy suppliers together produced 1.5 percent less than in the previous month. Economists had expected a much lower minus of 0.5 percent.
