The General Directorate of Public Health and the General Directorate of Mental Health are organizing a day on December 14 for the prevention of the abusive consumption of anxiolytic and sedative medications.
In recent years, an increasing trend has been observed in the prevalence of consumption of sedative-hypnotics with or without a prescription, which in 2021 has reached the highest values since this indicator has been monitored. This trend is especially worrying in the young population and women. This event is proposed as a meeting point between health, education and addiction prevention professionals to promote awareness of the overmedicalization of many vital situations and make visible alternatives for addressing it.
The event will take place at the Joaquín Roncal Center (C/ San Braulio, nº 5. Zaragoza), from 5 to 8 p.m. We leave you, in case you are interested, the registration link and the program.
