As a physician, I recognize the profound impact of pulmonary fibrosis—a condition characterized by the scarring of lung tissue, which makes it increasingly tricky for the lungs to transfer oxygen into the bloodstream. The Irish Lung Fibrosis Association provides critical support for patients and families navigating the complexities of this disease, focusing on patient advocacy and the funding of research to find more effective treatments.

By directing donations toward this organization, the Horgan family is turning a personal loss into a means of providing hope and resources for others battling similar respiratory struggles.
