Possdorf. The tragic fate of a family of five from the Delitzsch area moved an entire region and triggered a great wave of willingness to help. On Saturday, a 42-year-old father from the Poßdorf district of Delitzsch died unexpectedly of a heart attack. On this day, the family actually wanted to celebrate the enrollment of their son. In the morning, the man suddenly developed serious health problems and was taken to the hospital. It was from there that the family received the shocking news of his death.

With moving words, a cousin of the family has now initiated a fundraising campaign on the Internet platform “gofundme” under the keyword “Dad dies while his son is going to school”: “But then you get a call. Little Fynn has just received his candy cone and you are told on the other end of the line that your husband has passed away. Unfortunately, this is not a story from a bad movie. This happened to our family on August 19, 2023,” writes organizer Marcus Klein.
“The family needs a lot of support now”
On the public internet platform, he continues to describe how the family’s life was turned upside down from one second to the next: “Doreen is the mother of Fynn and 2 other children. Now she is alone with all her worries and existential fears in front of her children,” writes Klein. The savings are not long enough to pay off the loan from the house. “We want to relieve her of her financial worries and raise money so that Doreen and her children can continue to live in their home,” said the organizer of the fundraiser.
