Delivery of oil products from Kazakhstan to Armenia will be exempted from customs duty

The government approved the RA draft law “On ratifying the agreement between the governments of Armenia and Kazakhstan on trade and economic cooperation in the field of supply of oil products to Armenia”.

The need to conclude this agreement was due to the interest of the parties in the regulation of cooperation in the field of oil products delivery between Armenia and Kazakhstan.

According to this agreement, the shipment of goods from the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Armenia, classified in group AA 27 of the EAEU, according to the pre-agreed list and quantities, is exempted from customs duties.

Competent bodies for coordination and control of the implementation of the agreement are recognized: on the Kazakh side, the competent body in the field of production of hydrocarbons and products classified in Group 27 of the EAEU FTA, and on the Armenian side, the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia.

According to the agreement, by December 1 of each year, the competent authorities of the parties compile the balance of production, import and export of goods for the domestic consumption in the Republic of Armenia for the following year, including the volumes of goods delivered from the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation, confirm by signing an interdepartmental protocol from the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Armenia List of delivered Products.

The agreement provides an opportunity to develop long-term trade and economic relations between the two countries on the basis of equality and mutual benefit.

It will promote mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, create favorable conditions for the development of trade and economic ties, and increase business activity.
