acquired the Israeli start-up Cloudify for about 100 million dollars to expand its cloud services business.

The technology company did not officially announce the acquisition, but the spokesperson confirmed the news and noted that the deal allows Dell to continue to innovate its end-to-end offerings. Investment bank Jefferies exclusively advised Cloudify in negotiations with Dell.

Originally formed from GigaSpaces in 2017, Cloudify has developed a platform for cloud integration and infrastructure automation. Its tools are useful in managing containers, workloads and more in hybrid environments. The acquisition is expected to help strengthen Dell’s cloud services business, particularly its DevOps offerings.

Dell is scheduled to report its Q4 results in early March 2022. Analysts expect the company to post earnings of $1.65 on revenue of $23.56 billion.

Dell’s stock has fallen by 27% in the past year to a price of $40.5, which represents a market value of $29 billion.
