Saiful Haque, general secretary of Biplabhi Workers Party, has called for issuing a state of emergency (heat emergency) in the situation of rising temperature.

He made this call as the chief guest at the meeting of the Central Committee of Revolutionary Labor Solidarity on Friday (April 26).

Saiful Haque said that the severe increase in temperature across the country is like a nightmare for the hard working people. In summer, their lives are in a state of depravity, hatred and hatred. In this situation most of them are out of work. The livelihood of working people is under serious threat. Many do not have food at home. The government cannot avoid the responsibility of this situation after being in power for 15 consecutive years.

He urged the government, ministries, city corporations and all concerned to take coordinated action by issuing heat emergency to deal with the situation.

He called on the government to take initiatives to provide cash to helpless working families in disaster situations, sell food products at low prices through TCB and distribute clean drinking water among the working people.

Saiful Haque said, in the last 15 years, the forest area has been further deforested in the name of development. The country has become more deforested. Nature has become more endangered. The temperature is rising rapidly in the country.

He demanded to take multi-pronged measures including the creation of forest areas in a planned manner across the country to deal with the rising temperature.

The General Secretary of the Revolutionary Workers Party said, ‘Until now, most of the industrial factories in the country do not have a favorable situation for trade union.’ He called for a democratic labor law to ensure workers’ rights.
