Dr. Hovhannisyan: Thank you for having me. It’s a pleasure to discuss such an important topic.

Editor: Recently, discussions have intensified regarding the dynamic interaction between Armenia and ⁣India. ⁤What do you believe are the key drivers behind this relationship right now?

Dr. Hovhannisyan: There are a few pivotal factors. First, we have high-level‌ political contacts that are paving⁣ the way for deeper dialogue. Both nations see strategic benefits‍ in strengthening their ties, including ‍overcoming regional challenges and ‍promoting stability. Additionally, there’s a‍ genuine appreciation‌ for each other’s historical and cultural contexts, which adds a layer of mutual respect and understanding.

Editor: It‍ sounds like the historical ties are significant. Could you elaborate on how these civilizational connections influence modern diplomacy between the two nations?

Dr. Hovhannisyan: Absolutely. The historical ties create a foundation of ‌trust. For instance, both countries⁣ share common experiences in resisting external pressures⁤ and ⁤seeking sovereign identities. This encourages cooperation in various fields, ‌including culture, education, and trade. When they negotiate, these historical connections remind both ‍sides that they’re not starting from scratch but rather building on ‍a legacy of friendship.

Editor: Speaking of trade and economics, what are some concrete steps being taken to expand these ties?

Dr. Hovhannisyan: There’s a significant focus on enhancing trade and economic collaboration, particularly through various sectoral initiatives and communication channels. The “Crossroads ⁣of Peace” project exemplifies this.
