Deputy Minister of Health Artak Jumayan presented the ongoing reforms in the healthcare sector of Armenia within the framework of the 10th International Health Forum in St. Petersburg, noted that active steps are being taken to improve the primary health care system, as well as to increase the professional quality of medical workers.
In his speech, the Deputy Minister pointed out that some of the reforms are already tangible in practice, and some are in progress.
Artak Jumayan, presenting the ambitious reform plans of Armenia’s healthcare sector, assured that we will have a powerful, reformed and accessible healthcare system, the end result of which will be the introduction of a comprehensive health insurance system for the citizens of Armenia.
It should be noted that Hans Kluge, head of the WHO European regional office, is also participating in the 10th International Health Conference.
