Dewi Persik Celebrates Son’s Acceptance into Indonesian Military Academy

A proud mother, Indonesian singer Dewi Persik, publicly shared her elation after her son, Felice Gabriel, was accepted into the Military Academy (Akmil), a feat that has captured widespread attention on social media. The news marks a significant milestone for the family and reflects Gabriel’s dedication to serving his country.

On Thursday evening, December 4, 2025, in the Daan Mogot area of West Jakarta, Dewi Persik spoke with visible joy about her son’s accomplishment. “Regarding Gabriel, thank God, because his dream was to enter the TNI,” she stated, referring to the Indonesian National Armed Forces. “At one point, his aspiration was to join the Police Academy, but he ultimately chose to pursue a path at the Military Academy. So it seems like I can only direct where my child wants to be.”

A Testament to Hard Work

Dewi Persik was quick to emphasize that Gabriel’s acceptance was not a matter of chance, but rather the culmination of sustained effort. “And he happened to be able, so I feel grateful, thank God, this is the result of his hard work and he deserves it,” she explained. She humbly requested support from the public, acknowledging the challenges ahead. “I just ask for prayers from the viewers at home so that things will be easier for my child because this is still a long journey. Three years or four years of education. So hopefully he can do it all.”

The journey through the Akmil will be demanding, requiring years of rigorous training and academic study. Dewi Persik, also known as the host of Pagi Pagi Ambyar, admitted the emotional difficulty of letting her son embark on this path. However, she expressed unwavering confidence in his ability to succeed and serve Indonesia with distinction.

A Nation First

Dewi Persik framed her son’s ambition within a broader context of national service. “For me, this is a noble job, yes, serving the country, after that comes the family. So put the country first and then the family,” she asserted. “So for me, this is my son who is a little hero who has lofty ideals.”

She concluded with a deeply personal reflection on the role of a parent. “So I have to be able to do what it’s called… be able to let it go because the child is a gift from Allah. As long as it’s good and the goal is to serve the nation and state, why not.” This sentiment underscores the profound pride and sacrifice inherent in supporting a child’s dedication to a life of service.
