In Kodaikanal Keelmalai Bachalur village in Dindigul district, three teachers were transferred, including the headmaster, who was negligent in the mysterious death of a student.
A 5th class student was burnt to death near the school premises on December 15 in Bachalur village, Kodaikanal, Dindigul district. His parents and villagers were involved in a series of struggles claiming that his death was a mystery.
In this case, the case was registered as a suspicious death and after about 10 days of police investigation, no progress was made. The case was subsequently transferred to the CPCIT and ordered by DGP Silenthra Babu.
They blamed the school teachers’ negligence for the student deaths and demanded that they be transferred. Following this, the school principal Murugan and teachers Raja Durai, Manivel and three others were transferred by the Principal Education Officer.
