DIRECT. Belal: the eye of the storm has arrived in Reunion, announces the island’s prefect

Jérôme Filippini, the prefect of Reunion Island, assured during a press conference that he hoped to lift the purple alert, the one which forces everyone to stay at home, including emergency services, “as soon as possible” , “at nightfall (…) if all goes well”. The red alert, however, will last “until tomorrow morning”, he specifies. This will allow emergency services to “reconnaissance on the roads and see the state of the infrastructure”.
