Kochi: Director and screenwriter Rafi has said that Balachandra Kumar himself has announced his withdrawal from the movie starring Dileep in the lead role. Rafi’s statement will be decisive in the situation where Dileep and Balachandra Kumar say that Balachandra Kumar is the culprit behind his withdrawal from the film.
The probe team summoned director Balachandra Kumar to find out about Rafi’s voice in the digital evidence handed over to the crime branch in the attempted murder case against police officers.
After the statement, Rafi said that Balachandra Kumar himself had called on the phone to say that he was withdrawing from the film which was to be directed by Dileep based on the life of a pickpocket. Rafi was tasked with making the necessary changes to the script of the film.
Balachandra Kumar’s statement said that the footage handed over by the first accused Sunil Kumar (Pulsar Suni) in the case of abduction and torture of the actress came from Dileep’s house in the presence of businessman ‘VIP’ from Alappuzha. Crime Branch sources said that some information that validates this came out during the interrogation of the accused yesterday.
