Tickets for the first screening of Valimai in 5 languages, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi, have sold out not only in India but globally.

Tickets for the show’s first show in the United States, Singapore, France, and Germany sold out within hours of booking. Director H Vinod has said that he will not be watching the show from the first day of the film as the reception for the film is huge. Speaking about the film, he said that he had not seen the show since the first day as he had already seen the film several times.
He said that the story of the movie Valimai was written in several versions in one go and some upgrades were made when it was learned that Ajith was going to act. H Vinod also said that the strength film was made considering that it should be seen as a family. Veeram and Vishwasam movies have created a huge family audience for actor Ajith. H Vinod hopes that Ajith fans will have the strength to transcend family audiences as there is both action and sentiment.
