Indian cricketer KL Rahul rescues 11-year-old boy from rare illness Rahul was donating money for the emergency bone marrow transplant of Varad Nalavade, a boy who dreams of becoming a cricketer in the future. Rahul became the savior of the young cricketer by paying Rs 31 lakh out of the Rs 35 lakh required for the surgery.

In December last year, Varad’s parents Sachin Nalavade and Swapna Zhaya launched a campaign through Give India to raise money for the child’s medical expenses. This was Rahul’s turn of events. As soon as he saw the campaign, Rahul’s team contacted Give India and took care of it.

Varad, a fifth class student, has been undergoing treatment at Jaslok Hospital in Mumbai since last September. Varad had a rare condition called aplastic anemia. The only way to get rid of it was to have bone marrow surgery. Through his work, Rahul has given a big boost to the family who were struggling to find money for the treatment they were doing to sustain their son’s life.

Varad’s surgery was successfully completed with the money donated by Rahul and many others. Varad is recovering well after the surgery.

Varad’s mother Swapna responded by saying that she is very grateful to Rahul and other people who came forward and helped save her son’s life. ‘Thank you to everyone who donated money for my son’s treatment. My son would not have been able to perform this surgery without your help. Special thanks to KL Rahul. My son’s surgery was done so quickly because of the huge amount you gave. Thank you so much to Rahul and everyone. ‘ – Said the dream.

“I am very happy that Varad’s surgery has been completed successfully and that he wants Varad to return to normal life as soon as possible and make his dreams come true,” he said. ‘I am very happy that the surgery was successfully completed. He is well. May he return to the field very soon and make his dreams come true. Inspired by my contribution, let more people come forward to help those in distress, ”said KL Rahul.
