The Center for Criminal Research and Training and experts from the National Information Security and Safety Organization organized a set of training activities, within the framework of cooperation between the two institutions in facing the challenges of using emerging electronic technologies, and in implementation of the cooperation document that was signed at the opening of the first edition of the Public Prosecution International Book Fair.
The first cooperation included implementing the basic phase of the program to increase beneficiaries’ knowledge and raise their skills in confronting threats emanating from cyberspace and the digital environment, to enhance the treatment of cybercrimes, and to provide security for the Public Prosecution Authority’s project to digitize justice.
Thirty-nine deputy public prosecutors from the jurisdictions of the Tripoli and South Tripoli Courts of Appeal benefited from the first version of the activities, which extended over five days.
The activities provided a briefing on the introduction to data and information security and its policies, including across the digital space, the protection of personal data, and the analysis of digital evidence of practices that fall within criminal models.
The center will follow up on implementing copies of the basic phase of the digital knowledge and skills development program for members of the Public Prosecution Authority from the judicial, administrative, and technical frameworks as a first phase.
